Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Delaware Apotheco Pharmacy Group LLC. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare and label medications, supplies, and other products for patients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process prescriptions using computer software, verifying patient information and medication orders.
- Monitor and maintain the inventory of medications and supplies, reporting any discrepancies or issues to the pharmacist.
- Coordinate patient deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of medications and other products.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
- Verify insurance coverage and process payments, applying manufacturers' coupons and other discounts as applicable.
- Keep patient information up to date, ensuring accurate and secure storage of sensitive data.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in pharmacy or a related healthcare field is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, customers, and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and patient care.
