We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Take radiologic films to provide quality images to physicians for diagnosis of medical problems.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
