Job Summary

The CT Technologist PRN is responsible for performing CT exams in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform CT exams in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry for Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection, and specialized techniques.
  • Verify written orders match requisitions prior to performing exams.
  • Follow appropriate protocols for exams ordered.
  • Administer contrast material using proper techniques.
  • Manage patient flow to ensure exams are prioritized appropriately and performed efficiently.
  • Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologists in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a well-cleaned and supplied department at all times.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree
  • Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA.
  • Preferred: At minimum 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
