Ascentec Engineering: A Leader in Precision Machining

We are seeking a skilled Machinist I to join our team at Ascentec Engineering, a leading manufacturer of precision parts. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machine tools and controls to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload parts for machining up to 40 pounds.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing prints and blueprints.
  • Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
  • CNC setup and operation, including loading programs and setting work/tool offsets.
  • Inspect machined parts following 1st Part and in-process inspection protocol.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with 3-axis vertical CNC mills and metrology tools for measuring and recording part dimensions.
