Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team at CHI St Vincent. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hourly rounds on patients, checking vitals and maintaining accurate records
  • Assist patients with ambulating, hygiene needs, and other daily activities
  • Help the nurse with tube insertions and other medical procedures
  • Change bed linens, check patients' weight, and perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One of the following criteria must be met: Certified Nursing Assistant/EMT, completion of "Fundamentals of Nursing" in an accredited RN or LPN Nursing Program, minimum of 6 months of direct patient care in an acute care environment within the last 24 months, or successful completion of a PCT Training Course
  • Verifiable Certified Patient Care Tech, CPCT, issued by American Allied Health
  • CPR Certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire
