Position Overview:
The Practical Nursing Specialist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within our healthcare team. This position is designed for individuals who are committed to fostering a supportive and professional environment while collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will:

  • Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations or procedures.
  • Document patient health histories and identify any abnormal conditions for the physician's review.
  • Measure vital signs and conduct necessary screenings.
  • Administer medications, including intramuscular, subcutaneous, and oral, in accordance with established nursing standards.
  • Monitor and report on patients' conditions and responses to treatments.
  • Assist in preparing medical supplies and equipment, supporting physicians during examinations and treatments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient charts.
  • Coordinate referrals and schedule necessary tests and treatments.
  • Collect and manage lab specimens, entering results into the electronic medical record as needed.
  • Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients.
  • Engage in pre-visit planning by reviewing patient histories and proactively ordering necessary tests.
  • Complete required forms and obtain necessary signatures.

Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS Certification
- Licensed Practical Nurse in the relevant state
- Proficient typing and word processing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting
