Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Police and Security Officer to join our team at Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized or unlawful entry.
  • Patrol the hospital to ensure compliance with safety and fire standards.
  • Monitor security CCTV and inform security of any suspicious activity.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate incidents according to department guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspection tours to ensure the facility has not been tampered with and identify any irregularities.
  • Secure patient valuables when requested.
  • Develop and submit daily reports according to established guidelines.
  • Control emergency situations, remove people from danger, protect evidence, and manage pedestrian/vehicular traffic safely.
  • Assist staff in violent patient restraint to maintain safety for patients and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in disaster control and fire drills according to security guidelines.
  • Respond to security office and front desk inquiries efficiently and according to department guidelines.
  • Monitor the hospital parking lot and issue parking tickets to cars parked in violation of hospital administration regulations.
  • Complete additional department, organization, or network activities according to established objectives.
Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high school graduate or GED, and a minimum of one year paid, full-time experience in security/law enforcement or its equivalent.
