Pharmacy Technician II

Join Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a Pharmacy Technician II and contribute to our mission of ending cancer for life. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and distribution of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform inventory management tasks, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications and supplies.
- Demonstrate proficiency with pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology, including automated dispensing systems and barcode scanning.
- Assist with pharmacy inspections and adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures.
- Compound medications, including chemotherapy, in a clean room environment.
- Restock supplies for the clean room and perform occasional deliveries to satellite locations.
- Receive and unpack drug orders and supplies, and perform other pharmacy operational tasks as needed to support patient care.
- Complete annual competency assessments and maintain pharmacy files and records.
- Triage phone calls with courtesy and promptness, and refer to a pharmacist when applicable.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred.
- PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
- Strong IV compounding skills beneficial, but not required.
