Job Summary:
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Radiologist to join our team in the diagnostic radiology department. As a Radiologist, you will be responsible for interpreting imaging exams, performing administrative and clinical tasks, and providing educational and research activities in radiology service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret imaging exams in general radiology, body imaging, and nuclear medicine, including PET/CT and gastrointestinal and genitourinary exams with contrast material.
- Review radiology requests for appropriateness, respond to consults timely, prescribe exam protocols, review image quality, and provide feedback to technical staff.
- Interact with patients to obtain relevant clinical history and physical exam findings within the scope of radiology practice.
- Provide clinical oversight of medication administration, including contrast material and other medications relevant to diagnostic radiology practice.
- Participate in quality assurance programs, such as peer review and performance improvement.
- Participate in teaching programs and clinical conferences, such as tumor boards.
Work Environment:
This is an on-site position, and Radiologists will be expected to rotate between campuses. We offer a competitive salary, annual performance bonus, guaranteed salary increases, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401K plan with partial agency match.
