Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit team at Frye Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Document patient care provided, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Monitor and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families as needed.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate patient learning needs and provide education to patients and families as needed.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Adhere to core measure initiatives, patient safety goals, and NQF Safe Practices.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current RN license to practice in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
