Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN-Cardiac Cath Lab to join our team at UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital. As a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse, you will be responsible for promoting and restoring patients' cardiovascular health by completing the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains knowledge of effectively caring for a patient under moderate conscious sedation.
  • Possesses/exhibits strong EKG rhythm interpretation skills.
  • Provides leadership in emergent situations.
  • Establishes a climate of mutual respect and trust with patients and families.
  • Maintains an assertive yet supportive manner when functioning with physicians in the procedural setting.
  • Follows departmental and hospital infection control policies.
  • Documents patient status and care given while the patient is in the Cardiovascular and Radiology Departments.
  • Purposefully conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited nursing program (Must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire)
  • At least 1 year of experience in Critical Care setting
  • Previous Cath Lab experience
  • EPIC EMR system experience
  • Apollo Documentation knowledge
  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire
  • ACLS certified within 1 year
