Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead our pharmacy department at St. Luke's Health-Memorial. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and evaluate the operations of the pharmacy department to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Develop and manage the pharmacy budget to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent pharmacy work experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to create enthusiasm for new programs and approaches.
  • Quality improvement competencies.
  • Understanding of utilization and productivity in a variety of clinical settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership position or pharmacy residency completed.
  • Membership in the ASHP, ASCP, APHA, and/or other professional associations.
Working Conditions

The Director of Pharmacy will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and high expectations for quality and productivity. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

The Director of Pharmacy will be required to work a standard 40-hour workweek, with occasional overtime as needed. The position will be based in Lufkin, Texas, with occasional travel to other St. Luke's Health-Memorial facilities.
