Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our team at Hiring Winners. As a key member of our dealership family, you will be responsible for directing the activities related to the service and repair of client vehicles, coordinating the acquisition of automotive equipment, and maintaining our operations and maintenance facilities in top working order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily one-on-one client status meetings with each ASM to identify potential service issues and ensure seamless communication.
  • Monitor automotive repair/maintenance to prevent operational delays and optimize productivity.
  • Work closely with the Service Director to set departmental objectives and drive business growth.
  • Recruit, interview, and train service staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales and production records as prescribed by upper management.
  • Review and evaluate service sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Staff technical teams relative to production requirements to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Remain current on new products and changes to existing products to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Maintain department finances within parameters established by upper management to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Assure proper repair-order flow and maximize productivity to meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor and control all warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Administer payroll for service staff in cooperation with the payroll department, securing approval from the Service Director and General Manager.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Participate in operational planning to drive business growth and success.
  • Maintain the facility and equipment to ensure a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct weekly department meetings and attend weekly manager meetings to stay informed and aligned with dealership goals.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager with a strong background in automotive service and repair. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
