Maintenance Technician

The Equipment Specialist is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests to identify potential issues, and perform repairs and replacements as needed.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Issues: Use technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
- Maintain Maintenance Logs and Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations: Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work with other technicians, engineers, and staff to resolve complex problems and improve operational efficiency.
- Order and Maintain Inventory: Procure and manage spare parts and tools to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
- Assist with Equipment Installation and Calibration: Help set up and calibrate new equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide Training and Guidance: Share knowledge and expertise with other team members to improve overall performance.
- Respond to Emergency Maintenance Requests: Address urgent maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement effective repairs.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, work in various environmental conditions, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Environmental Conditions: May involve working in hot, cold, or noisy areas, and requires physical activity, including lifting, climbing, and bending.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to work from heights and in confined spaces.
