Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at CommuniCare Health Center. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our Pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications, maintaining pharmaceutical inventory, and ensuring patient and pharmacy records are accurate and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including packaging, measuring, and counting pills or tablets.
- Receive and process prescription orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and high-quality patient care.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Pharmacy team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) required.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to drive and maintain a valid driver's license and clear driving record.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Frequent use of fingers to make small movements, such as typing or picking up small objects.
- Frequent talking and hearing, including conveying detailed instructions or ideas accurately and clearly.
- Ability to stand for most of the day, with occasional lifting of folders, files, and other items weighing up to 25 pounds.
