Key Responsibilities:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in the administration of medications and treatments during their assigned shifts, adhering to the established medical and nursing care protocols. The LPN collaborates closely with the Head/Charge Nurse to deliver exceptional nursing care to all residents.

  • Continuously assesses residents' behaviors, symptoms, reactions, and progress, sharing insights with the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
  • Administers and meticulously documents all medications in accordance with established policies, physician directives, and health regulations.
  • Executes all treatments as per specific physician orders and established protocols.
  • Engages in discussions regarding the need to modify or discontinue medications or treatments with the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
  • Responsible for ordering prescribed medications, notifying the pharmacy of any discontinued medications, and ensuring the accuracy of received medications and dosages.

Job Type: Per Diem

Salary: Competitive hourly rate

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse.

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
