We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tenet Florida Physician Services, L.L.C. as a Dietary Supervisor - Food Service Full Time Rotate. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising Food Service Workers in the performance of their duties, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in food preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coach Food Service Workers in the performance of their daily duties, ensuring they are aware of and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular visual inspections of the work areas and equipment to ensure proper functioning and sanitation, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the Maintenance Department.
- Assure the temperature and appearance of food on the tray line meets the highest standards, and that patient trays are accurately assembled.
- Perform visual inspections of employees to ensure they are wearing proper uniforms, hair restraints, and are not suffering from any health issues that may impact their ability to perform their duties safely.
- Participate in preparing weekly employee schedules and work assignments, and prepare accident and incident reports as necessary.
- Inform the Director of supply, equipment, utensils, and staffing needs, and conduct orientation of new employees and in-service training.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare or restaurant environment.
- 1 year of supervisory experience in healthcare (preferred).
- License required based on state requirements.
- Certification as Food or Dietary Manager based on city or state requirements (preferred).
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position with a rotating shift schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in food preparation and service.
