The City of Paducah, KY is seeking a highly motivated Recreation Leader-Athletics to join our team. This part-time position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Paducah Recreation Center, including front desk operations, answering telephone calls and serving customers, receiving and recording payments and membership fees, and implementing program and league schedules and activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organizing, planning, and supervising daily programs, classes, leagues, and events for the Paducah Recreation Center and other park facilities as assigned.
  • Keeping daily attendance for programs, classes, leagues, and events, and recording and filing incident reports, registration information, disciplinary action report forms, and other necessary documentation.
  • Providing excellent customer service and communicating with other staff, supervisors, and the public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Promoting programs, classes, leagues, events, and center memberships.

This role requires a high school degree or equivalent, one year of experience in recreation, sports, or customer service-related fields, and good communication skills. The ideal candidate should have experience working with the public and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
