About the Role:

Corning Incorporated is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Events Associate to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for planning and executing corporate events that support the company's key initiatives and corporate calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the events team in planning and executing events, including coordinating vendors, organizing logistics, managing budgets, and communicating with key stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal and external vendors to deliver high-quality events, including catering, media, IT, and external vendors/venues.
  • Support travel planning for hotel, restaurant reservations, and train to serve as backup for ground transportation travel logistics.
  • Provide administrative support to the events team, including conference room management, event materials printing, and event diagrams and layouts.
  • Work with catering vendor to process banquet orders, reconcile accounts, and assist in submission of expense reports.
  • Contribute to department time tracking and metrics program to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of information gained while coordinating and supporting meeting and event logistics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of event planning experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • High-level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and well in a team environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with event planning software and other tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong customer satisfaction focus.
