Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid KY HVAC Journeyman license.
  • Certification from the EPA.
  • A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in HVAC services.
  • Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • All necessary tools for Service Technician Level 1, with a commitment to acquiring additional tools for career advancement.
  • Willingness to participate in training seminars and workshops.
  • Capability to work from a 28' extension ladder and a 12' step ladder.
  • Safe operation of power and hand tools.
  • Basic understanding of service tools and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance benefits.
  • Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance on both residential and commercial systems with minimal supervision.
  • Dedication to enhancing customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with soldering and refrigeration techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and basic service calls for residential systems, including installation of equipment, refrigeration units, ice machines, and cooking appliances.
  • Arrive punctually at job sites as scheduled.
  • Transition between various job locations as needed throughout the day.
  • Communicate promptly with dispatch upon arrival and departure from job sites.
  • Maintain and purchase tools required for Service Technician Level 2.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on residential equipment independently, ensuring all maintenance checklists are completed.
  • Report any issues with company tools or vehicles immediately.
  • Engage with customers to gather necessary information.
  • Complete maintenance and service requests as directed.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Wear the assigned uniform consistently.
  • Accurately complete all service invoices and related documentation.
  • Provide customers with information regarding new or renewal maintenance agreements.

Physical Requirements:

  • This role involves walking, bending, balancing, speaking, listening, squatting, climbing, reaching overhead, and driving a company vehicle.
  • Manual dexterity is required for handling tools and equipment.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of objects may be necessary.
  • Visual abilities must include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
