Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce all laws, rules, and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department, maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Transport students in company vehicles, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, identifying and mitigating potential safety hazards and security threats.
  • Aid and assist visitors, students, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student accountability, ensuring the security and well-being of all individuals on site.
  • Perform regular security and safety checks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct approved searches and safety inspections, maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect for individuals.
  • Receive and investigate complaints, taking prompt and effective action to resolve issues.
  • Provide escort services as directed, ensuring the safety and security of individuals and assets.
  • Investigate vehicular accidents, gathering evidence and providing incident reports.
  • Issue visitor passes and temporary vehicle permits, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Participate in the disciplinary process, upholding company policies and procedures.
  • Attend training sessions as required, staying up-to-date on the latest safety and security protocols.
  • Provide temporary coverage in student-occupied areas, ensuring the safety and security of all individuals.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Three to six months' experience in a security or work-related capacity, with a Class B License and passenger/air brake endorsement preferred.
  • Knowledge of crowd control techniques and law enforcement procedures.
  • Ability to obtain a bus driver's license and maintain CPR/FA Certification.
  • Familiarity with problems of underprivileged, minority groups, especially youth.
  • Good writing skills and excellent communication skills.
