Job Summary:
As a Shift Supervisor Hospital Administration, you will oversee nursing and hospital operations on assigned shifts, ensuring seamless patient flow and minimizing diversions, delays, or denials. You will coordinate patient bed placement activities, supervise staff placement, and function as an on-site administrative representative in the absence of regular hospital administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct hospital operations on assigned shifts to ensure patient care needs are met.
  • Round on patient units to identify placement needs, available beds, and staff capacity.
  • Communicate with Charge Nurses and Unit Managers to prioritize patient placement and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with regional teams to ensure patient care needs are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Anticipate potential problems and intervene to minimize adverse impact.
  • Act as a clinical resource for nursing staff and support performance improvement activities.

Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Minimum three years of acute care nursing practice.
  • BSN or health-related bachelor's degree, or currently enrolled in a BSN or health-related bachelor's degree program.
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum seven years of combined acute care clinical experience as RN.
  • Minimum three years of previous healthcare or management experience.
