Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist I to join our team at Christus Health. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with experience in ambulatory care to provide pharmaceutical services to patients.

About the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and cost-efficient drug therapies for patients. You will also assist with pharmacokinetics consult service, renal drug dosing, and medication use review activities. Additionally, you will participate in quality improvement initiatives, conduct interventions, and provide education to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense drug orders according to established policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and transcribe/verify drug orders into patient records accurately.
  • Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products.
  • Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies.
  • SUPervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, verifying daily activities of technicians.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree or BS Pharmacy degree required.
  • Hospital experience preferred.
  • Pharmacy registration in the State of practice.
  • Must have pharmacy State licensure within 60 days of start date.
  • BLS or ACLS and PALS (pediatric practice) within 180 days of start date.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
