The State Water Resources Control Board seeks a skilled Senior Water Resource Engineer Lead to oversee the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Cleanup Fund Hydrogeology and Engineering Section.

As Unit Lead for Technical Unit II, this individual will supervise staff in making technical and financial decisions for cost reimbursements of Cleanup Fund programs. They will direct staff who perform detailed evaluations of correction action activities at leaking UST sites and ensure consistent reimbursement decision-making in line with Cleanup Fund guidelines and Low Threat UST Case Closure Policy requirements.

About the Opportunity

This Senior Water Resource Engineer Lead position offers a competitive salary range based on education and experience, with placement at the entrance rate according to CalHR salary rules (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673). For classes with alternate ranges, placement is determined by education/experience.

Salaries for this role are estimated to be around $113,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on education and experience.
