Job Summary

The Office of Admissions at Florida International University is seeking a highly motivated and professional student to serve as a student recruitment specialist. This role offers opportunities for professional development, knowledge of university departments, and the chance to showcase FIU spirit by giving tours of the campus to prospective students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct campus tours for prospective students and select university partners and stakeholders.
  • Staff the Office of Admissions welcome desk to answer questions and provide information to prospective students.
  • Input contact card information into the FIU database for prospective students.
  • Manage and create content for the university's social media accounts.
  • Create welcome packets with FIU collateral pieces for prospective student groups, university departments, and Office of Admissions recruiters.
  • Maintain and update an inventory list of materials and supplies for admissions-related events.
  • Support supervisors with annual Admissions events, including Fall Showcase and Admitted Student Day.
  • Remain up to date on FIU policies and practices to accurately inform prospective students about university details.
  • Receive and maintain all trainings/licenses related to specific Admissions/Enrollment functions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
