Pathology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pathology Specialist to join our team at the University of Miami Health System.

• Provide expert diagnostic services in Gastrointestinal Pathology, including neoplastic disease, non-neoplastic disorders, and transplant pathology.
• Conduct microscopic examinations of surgical specimens, report findings, and verify coding diagnoses in a timely manner.
• Perform Frozen Section diagnoses and autopsies as needed.
• Participate in educational activities for pathology residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Collaborate with other investigators on research projects and seek funding opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of professional services to ensure JCAHO/CAP/CLIA accreditation.

• Must be an M.D. or D.O. with Board Certification or Board eligibility in Anatomic Pathology, or both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Gastrointestinal Pathology Fellowship training is required.
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida.

The work is mainly performed in a hospital environment, and a high level of citizenship and professionalism is expected.
