Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with local and regional agencies.
- Provide mentorship and support to project managers and production teams.
- Oversee hydrological and hydraulic calculations, modeling, and the preparation of technical reports.
- Guide junior design and CADD staff throughout all design phases.
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures across all projects.
- Conduct departmental meetings to assess workload, project performance, and explore business opportunities.
- Collaborate with other offices to exchange work and best practices.
- Support staff in enhancing their technical and management skills.
- Identify training opportunities to promote career advancement.
- Lead initiatives in business development and client relationship management.
- Engage in industry events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 15 years of engineering experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
- Certification as a Floodplain Manager (CFM) is recommended.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project.
- A strong desire to become a leader within the company and the professional community.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is between $180,000 and $240,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.
