Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with local and regional agencies.
  • Provide mentorship and support to project managers and production teams.
  • Oversee hydrological and hydraulic calculations, modeling, and the preparation of technical reports.
  • Guide junior design and CADD staff throughout all design phases.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures across all projects.
  • Conduct departmental meetings to assess workload, project performance, and explore business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other offices to exchange work and best practices.
  • Support staff in enhancing their technical and management skills.
  • Identify training opportunities to promote career advancement.
  • Lead initiatives in business development and client relationship management.
  • Engage in industry events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 15 years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
  • Certification as a Floodplain Manager (CFM) is recommended.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project.
  • A strong desire to become a leader within the company and the professional community.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is between $180,000 and $240,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.
