Job Title: Family Therapist

Job Summary:

At Youth Villages, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Therapist to join our team. As a Family Therapist, you will work with at-risk youth and their families to provide intensive, community-based treatment. Your primary goal will be to help families develop the skills and strategies needed to overcome challenges and achieve a more stable and fulfilling life.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry a caseload of 4-5 families and provide intensive treatment, meeting with each family at least three times per week.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each case, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each family.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Document all sessions within a pre-established cycle time, using web-based documentation tools and voice-recognition technology.
  • Provide after-hours support to youth and families, utilizing a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Drive up to 60-80 miles to meet with families in their homes, working in a wide array of settings and communities.
  • Work closely with multiple types of clinical supervision, including individual and group settings led by trained and licensed professionals.
  • Develop strong community relationships and resources to provide families as part of treatment.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a social services field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families in a volunteer, internship, or paid position.
  • Strong writing skills and experience with electronic documentation.
  • Acceptable driving record, with three or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months.
