Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Key Carrier and Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a Key Carrier, you will alternate between Coordinator and Key Carrier roles, taking on leadership responsibilities to maintain store operations and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service and promoting a positive internal and external customer experience
  • Act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policy and procedure, and ensuring store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan
  • Address immediate customer service issues, provide coaching to Associates, and exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
  • Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas, ensure Associates adhere to operational procedures, and execute opening/closing procedures according to company guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates, provide progress updates, and provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs, ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures, and promote credit and loyalty programs
  • Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs, promote safety awareness, and maintain a safe environment
Requirements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Team player with effective communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures, as well as merchandise flow in stores
  • Proven problem-solving skills, ability to coach, delegate, and follow-up on multiple people/tasks, and act quickly under challenging circumstances
  • Superior communication and organizational skills, with 1 year retail experience and 6 months leadership experience

This position has a starting pay range of $18.28 to $18.78 per hour, with the full range of the position being $18.28 to $28.80 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
