Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and cleanliness of the facility. This position is responsible for general facilities maintenance as well as routine janitorial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Janitorial Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance:
    • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors across various areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces.
    • Dust, sanitize, and wipe down surfaces such as desks, windows, and counters.
    • Clean restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained.
    • Empty trash, recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly.
    • Pick up trash near exterior of building including parking lots.
  • Daily Upkeep:
    • Ensure all high-touch surfaces, including door handles, light switches, and communal areas, are regularly cleaned and disinfected.
    • Clean glass doors, windows, and mirrors to maintain a polished and professional look.
  • Various Duties:
    • Must have reliable transportation to run various errands and travel between Wantable Headquarters and Wantable Fulfillment Center. Travel reimbursement program in place for use of own vehicle.
Facilities Maintenance Responsibilities
  • General Maintenance:
    • Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, or fixing door hinges.
    • Conduct basic plumbing or electrical troubleshooting and report larger issues to the Facilities Manager.
    • Monitor HVAC systems and ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Facilities Support:
    • Assist with furniture setup and rearrangements for meetings, events, or office reconfigurations.
    • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, restroom products, and basic maintenance tools.
    • Report safety hazards to management.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in janitorial services and facilities maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Ability to use a variety of cleaning equipment and tools, including vacuums, mops, and basic hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to work in varying environments, including outdoors, in inclement weather, or in hot/cold indoor conditions.
  • Must have own vehicle in order run various errands and travel between Wantable Headquarters and Wantable Fulfillment Center. Both located in Milwaukee, WI. Will be reimbursed for travel expenses associated with use of own vehicle.

Work Schedule:

  • Full Time Weekdays 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
