The primary responsibilities of the Accountant include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Recording and processing journal entries to ensure accurate documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Conducting ratio analysis and coding monthly transactions while ensuring all necessary business documents are maintained.
  • Overseeing the reconciliation of bank statements.
  • Correcting accounting discrepancies and making necessary journal entry adjustments.
  • Processing wire transfers efficiently.
  • Providing support to other accounting staff as needed.
  • Assisting with various accounting projects and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and the MS Office Suite.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Commitment to delivering precise work adhering to the highest standards of accounting.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
