Job Summary:
The Orthopedic Certified Athletic Trainer will work in conjunction with a licensed physician to carry out the practice of preventing, recognizing, evaluating, managing, disposing, treating, reconditioning, or rehabilitating athletic injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a licensed physician to develop and implement treatment plans for athletic injuries.
- Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency in patient care.
- Perform organizational tasks related to patient treatment, including obtaining pertinent patient medical history and developing a plan of care.
- Apply knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions to provide effective care.
- Perform other related duties, including obtaining vital signs, suture/staple removal, bracing, splinting, and casting.
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in sports medicine or orthopedic practice.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Athletic Trainer Certified (National) and Athletic Trainer Certified (State-KY or IN).
- Desired: Master's Degree in a related field.
