Job Title: Girls Soccer Assistant Coach

At Safford Unified School District, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Girls Soccer Assistant Coach to join our team. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will play a vital role in developing the skills and knowledge of our student-athletes.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the eligibility of student-athletes as requested by the Athletic Director.
  2. Assist in maintaining inventory and equipment.
  3. Supervise and instruct athletes during practice, competition, and on activity buses.
  4. Develop a thorough understanding of the fundamentals and rules of the sport.
  5. Provide proper care and treatment of athletic injuries.
  6. Keep parents, students, faculty, and local media informed about team activities and achievements.
  7. Attend District meetings and clinics to stay updated on best practices.
  8. Conduct annual parent nights to communicate goals, rules, and expectations.
  9. Confer with parents, teachers, and the Principal as needed regarding athlete behavior and academic performance.
  10. Teach Pursuing Victory With Honor lifestyle issues.
  11. Ensure compliance with District and school athletic codes.
  12. Hold certifications in CPR and complete the NFHS fundamentals of coaching course.
  13. Assist the head coach in all areas and perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants should have a strong background in soccer coaching and excellent communication skills. A certification in CPR and completion of the NFHS fundamentals of coaching course are also required.
