We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our team of passionate patient caregivers.

Our hospital has been ranked in the Top 10% nationally for rehabilitative care for 7 years and has earned The Joint Commission's Brain Injury, Stroke, and Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Certification.

We provide specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to our patients, serving Lubbock and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and revising a plan of care for assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Ernest Health.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing all patients receiving dialysis therapy and assessing clinical status throughout treatment
  • Consistently assisting team members in the delivery of acute hemodialysis utilizing established standards of care
  • Providing direct care and delegating and supervising all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act
  • Integrating the hospital's mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Two years of dialysis experience or one year of Critical Care experience or one year of dialysis experience and two years of experience in the Medical/Surgical field
  • Effective organizational, prioritizing, and time-management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others
