Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and improving patient outcomes through innovative practices and technologies. As an ECMO specialist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Job Summary

The ECMO specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the ECMO program, including staff supervision, patient care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the ECMO program, including staff supervision and patient care coordination
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance improvement projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3 years of critical care and ECMO experience
  • Current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license OR/Licensed Perfusionist OR/Licensed Respiratory Therapist
  • Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • ECMO training program completion

Parkland Health and Hospital System offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
