Job Title: Busser

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busser to join our team at Harry Buffalo. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room by providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including all tables, chairs, floors, walls, windows, and restrooms.
  • Assist in restocking the dining room with silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments, and maintain adequate supplies in the work stations when the dining room is opened.
  • Prepare beverages required for service, including coffee and iced tea.
  • Communicate with host/hostess and servers to maintain service efficiency.
  • Assist servers in serving tables during rush periods.
  • Remove dirty dishes and silver from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table.
  • Return dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to the dishwashing area, sorting silverware, glassware, and other items, placing them in the prescribed area for proper disposition.
Requirements:
  • Entry-level position.
  • Must possess a friendly, outgoing, courteous, service-oriented personality.
  • High School degree preferred, but not required. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must have the ability to remain stationary for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop on occasion, and be able to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to five hours in length.
  • Must have the ability to lift trays, soiled dish bins, etc., of up to 40 pounds in weight.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other associates.
  • Must wear slip-resistant shoes at all times while working.
