Job Overview

Position Summary

Levato's Little Ones is a highly rated Preschool/Daycare that adheres to the Paths-to-Quality standards. Our Preschool Assistants play a crucial role in guiding and teaching children aged 3 months to 5 years, fostering exploration, learning, and play to enhance self-esteem and establish a solid educational foundation.

We are looking for dynamic, imaginative, and passionate individuals who are excited about engaging with preschool-aged children. Candidates with a background or interest in childcare, early childhood education, or elementary education, as well as those who have a genuine affection for children, are encouraged to consider this opportunity. Working at Levato's Little Ones will also provide valuable experience for those interested in obtaining a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate.

This is a full-time role.

Compensation for full-time positions ranges from $24,000 to $33,280 annually, equating to $12 to $16 per hour, based on experience.

We are pleased to offer a sign-on bonus after a successful 90-day performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Daycare Director and Team Leads (lead roles are available).
  • Support the development and supervision of children aged 3 months to 5 years.
  • Help maintain a nurturing and positive environment for infants and toddlers.
  • Assist in designing and preparing engaging materials and classroom settings for activities that promote intellectual and creative growth, tailored to the diverse needs and interests of students.
  • Engage children in educational activities and creative play that foster intellectual, physical, mental, and social development, including games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and reading.
  • Attend to children's basic needs, including dressing, feeding, bathing, diapering, and bathroom assistance.
  • Interact with children in a safe, compassionate manner.
  • Teach fundamental skills such as color, shape, number, and letter recognition, as well as proper eating habits, personal hygiene, and social skills.
  • Observe and assess children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
  • Identify children exhibiting signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related issues and communicate these with supervisors and child development specialists as necessary.
  • Maintain communication with parents regarding each child's daily achievements, interests, and challenges.
  • Prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration.
  • Complete necessary training as mandated by certification agencies.
Qualifications
  • Ability to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
  • Passion for working with children and ability to establish rapport with preschoolers.
  • Exhibit a positive, energetic attitude coupled with a patient and caring demeanor.
  • Experience or interest in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
  • A desire to pursue a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Physical capability to engage infants and preschoolers in enjoyable activities, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Reliability, dependability, and trustworthiness are crucial.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with data entry and general computer, tablet, and smartphone usage is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience with educational software and age-appropriate games and toys is a plus but not essential.

Situated on 8 acres of beautiful countryside, we offer ample space for children to explore, learn, and play both indoors and outdoors. We foster an active and loving atmosphere where we value each child and connect with them on their level. Our facility operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
