Job Title: Janitorial Assistant

At The Salvation Army Eastern Territory, we are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Janitorial Assistant. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff, volunteers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of our buildings, including floors, carpets, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Restock and replenish janitorial supplies as needed.
  • Assist with program activities, such as setting up tables and chairs for events.
  • Transport vehicles to the garage for repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in janitorial or facilities maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a 12-passenger van.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
