Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead our pipeline facility projects. As part of the team at Cogs, you will oversee the mechanical engineering components of major projects and play a key role in ensuring project objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review mechanical engineering calculations, specifications, and data sheets.
  • Oversee material requisitions for equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate and review PFDs, P&IDs, piping plans, and site layouts.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for mechanical and piping activities with clients.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings and technical documentation.
  • Ensure mechanical engineering deliverables meet project specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Participate in short and long-term site assignments or client office work as needed.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in oil and gas pipeline facilities.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, API, ASME) applicable to pipeline facility designs.
  • Proficient in engineering-related software and systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The salary for this position is up to $180,000 per year, plus benefits. The location of the job is Houston, TX.
