We are in search of a proficient Systems Administrator who possesses excellent client interaction skills and a strong problem-solving mindset.

Position Summary:

The Systems Administrator will take charge of projects related to the integration of new clients, the rollout of innovative products, and the enhancement of current services. This role also serves as a key escalation point for the Network Operation Center (NOC) and Help Desk within the Service Department. Availability for on-call duties is a requirement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise across various domains including Networking, Storage, Server Management, Virtualization, and Security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and implement new client hardware (servers, switches, firewalls, and/or SAN) as part of project initiatives.
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries for technical support.
  • Address technical escalations from other divisions within Optimized IT.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners for testing and project execution.
  • Provide ongoing status updates to clients or project managers regarding support tickets.
  • Generate trouble tickets for identified issues categorized as "Out of spec".
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, server platforms, and Exchange.
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft system management tools (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, NPS, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of Networking concepts (VLAN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Virtualization technologies (VMware VCP preferred).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Storage solutions.
  • Experience with Firewall management.
  • Basic experience with backup solutions.
  • Some exposure to mobile device management.
  • Experience in wireless design, implementation, and management.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all company departments as well as external clients and vendors.
  • Advanced proficiency in PC operations and navigation.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive.
  • Adaptability to change and capacity to work under pressure.
