ObjectiveThe ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and piping installation, including the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications to create a comprehensive piping network.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret job specifications and blueprints, ensuring accurate measurements and torque requirements for large industrial piping systems.
- Utilize hands-on expertise in datum lining and equipment/piping center lines.
- Install various components such as valves, pumps, and chillers to establish a complete piping system.
- Implement all forms of piping system supports and braces, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities while adhering to quality and safety regulations.
- Document quality control measures in accordance with SEA Quality Standards.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely, following industry-standard rigging practices.
- Guide and supervise helpers effectively while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Comply with all company policies and safety requirements, ensuring physical readiness to use necessary PPE.
- Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits as required.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of threading, grinding, welding, and rigging.
Preferred:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience or training.
This position operates in a fabrication facility, with potential exposure to fumes, moving parts, and loud noise levels.
Physical RequirementsRegularly required to stand, walk, and lift items up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.
Expected Work HoursThis is a full-time role with standard first and second shift hours, with occasional weekend work as needed.
Travel RequirementsLocal travel may be necessary during business hours.
