Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized treatment programs for patients under the supervision of an RN.
- Implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols, while ensuring patient safety.
- Administer medications and obtain diagnostic tests in accordance with Health Care Practitioner's orders and protocols, using proper techniques and procedures.
- Assist Health Care Practitioner in medical or minor surgical procedures and implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans as ordered.
- Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting and communicate information to nursing staff and other relevant personnel.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- 1-2 years of acute medical experience.
- Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
