Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in the School of Social Work. As a Research Scientist, you will play a key role in planning, organizing, and overseeing mental health services research projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting independent scientific research projects from inception to presentation, preparing and crafting various documentations of research results, and training undergraduates and research technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent mental health services research projects from inception to presentation, including planning, organizing, assessing protocol feasibility, conducting interviews and collecting data, processing and analyzing data, and conference presentations.
  • Prepare manuscripts, research proposals, articles, grant applications, and presentations based on research results.
  • Train students and/or research assistants.
  • Recommend, draft, and manage lab policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate work and project development in collaboration with community and academic partners.
Requirements
  • Professional Doctorate Degree.
  • 5 years of experience in mental health services research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
