Position Overview
The Environmental Health and Safety Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and compliance across various construction projects. This position is integral to the operational success of Strategic Safety Solutions LLC, providing essential oversight and guidance in environmental health and safety matters.

Strategic Safety Solutions LLC is a dedicated consulting firm specializing in environmental, health, and safety services. We are committed to delivering high-quality safety solutions tailored to the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting a minimum of two safety inspections each day to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Facilitating toolbox talks and safety orientations to promote a culture of safety among workers.
- Verifying the qualifications of equipment operators through training certifications and experience.
- Ensuring adherence to site-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP), as well as local and federal regulations.
- Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of hazardous materials present on-site.
- Documenting safety deficiencies and unsafe work conditions, followed by implementing corrective action plans.
- Preparing detailed accident reports and conducting trend analyses to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years focused on Environmental Health and Safety Management.
- Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Training within the last five years.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and an 8-hour annual refresher course.
- Training in confined space entry, RCRA, DOT hazardous waste management, excavation and trenching, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Proficiency in data entry and report generation using computer systems.
Additional Information
Previous experience with regulatory agencies will be considered an advantage. Candidates must meet the specified qualifications to be considered for this role.
