We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to become a vital part of our corporate team at FullSteam. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and possess a strong commitment to precision and accuracy.
Role Objective: To deliver essential operational assistance to the Payroll Manager by managing daily payroll functions within the administrative office.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm | Compensation: $19/HR | Reports to: Payroll Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and authorize weekly payroll for agencies.
- Evaluate and sanction payroll action requests (PAR) from agencies.
- Compile payroll cost reports for administrative accounting, ensuring timely submission for weekly and monthly reporting.
- Examine federal and multi-state tax submissions for distribution centers.
- Assist payroll supervisors at distribution centers with inquiries and problem resolution.
- Act as a backup during the absence of the Payroll Administrator.
- Engage in additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong communication abilities and a proactive approach to completing tasks independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional telephone communication skills.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and quick adaptability to processing methods.
- Experience with Paychex is advantageous.
- An associate degree in a business-related field is preferred.
