Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Site Coordinator, Child Care staff will:

  1. Implement educational programs within established frameworks.
  2. Design and execute daily lesson and activity plans.
  3. Oversee children, the classroom, and all related activities.
  4. Conduct systematic observations and assessments of each child's progress.
  5. Facilitate family meetings and maintain positive communication with families, encouraging their involvement as volunteers.
  6. Ensure the program site and equipment are well-maintained.
  7. Keep accurate program records as required.
  8. Participate in family events, program activities, staff meetings, and training sessions.
  9. Promote the physical, intellectual, social, cultural, and emotional well-being of the children.
  10. Collaborate with the team to plan and implement engaging activities.
  11. Provide direct leadership to assigned groups, ensuring constant visual supervision of all children.
  12. Engage in daily activities and assist children in completing tasks, including both land and water-based activities.
  13. Foster enthusiasm for programs and activities.
  14. Complete necessary documentation regarding attendance, health, and wellness.
  15. Maintain cleanliness and organization in program areas, adhering to all safety protocols.
  16. Follow all relevant policies and procedures set forth by regulatory agencies and the organization.
  17. Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  18. Adhere to punctuality and dress code requirements, and attend all scheduled meetings.
  19. Assist in recruitment efforts and special events as needed.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  1. Fulfill educational and experience requirements as mandated by state regulations.
  2. Be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Possess a high school diploma or GED; additional educational qualifications may be required.
  4. Obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within the initial onboarding period.
  5. Have prior experience working with children in a developmental context.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
  7. Exhibit experience with diverse populations and the ability to cultivate authentic relationships.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must have the capability to lead and participate in various activities, ensuring the safety and supervision of children at all times.
