Gym Monitor

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Basketball Gym Monitor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of participants and spectators in our basketball gym.

• Supervise the gym and surrounding areas to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users.
• Monitor and report any mechanical or equipment problems to ensure the gym remains in good working order.
• Set up and return equipment to storage, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are clean and safe.
• Enforce all rules, regulations, and policies in a tactful and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report any incidents or accidents.
• Assist other staff members as needed and provide excellent customer service to participants and spectators.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One year or more of related experience preferred.
• High degree of human relation and conflict management skills to effectively enforce rules and regulations.
• Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a family-friendly environment.
• Current state-approved CPR/AED certification required.

This role requires the ability to see, hear, stand, stoop, walk unassisted, and lift more than 50 pounds.
