Position Overview:
Core Function: The Mortgage Funding Specialist is tasked with overseeing the operations related to mortgage loans, which includes the assessment, preparation, and distribution of funds for various loan types such as refinances, purchases, and lines of credit. This role is essential in providing exceptional support services to members, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the funding process.
Essential Duties:
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve any outstanding conditions prior to the disbursement of funds.
- Examine and authorize closing documents and wire transfer directives.
- Confirm loan specifics and address any issues that arise post-closing.
- Stay informed about regulatory updates that may impact funding operations.
- Enter loan data accurately and ensure all documentation is precise.
- Serve as a secondary resource for loan servicing and assist with additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven understanding of mortgage lending and funding procedures.
- Excellent customer service abilities and effective communication skills.
- Skilled in managing documentation with a keen eye for detail.
- Adept at working collaboratively within a team and following established protocols.
Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience in the mortgage lending sector.
Additional Information: Candidates must register with the NMLS and successfully complete a background verification process. This position does not entail supervisory duties.
Physical Demands: The role necessitates light physical activity, including sitting, standing, and occasional lifting.
Work Environment: The position is based in an office environment characterized by moderate noise levels and sufficient ventilation.
Work Hours: A standard 40-hour workweek is expected, with the possibility of overtime as required.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be necessary.
