Job Summary

Frontier Management LLC is seeking an experienced Health Services Director to oversee the Health Services Department at one of our communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical nursing practice and long-term care administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement interim service plans in partnership with the Resident Care Coordinator to ensure resident care needs are met.
  • Provide oversight and required documentation for third-party providers for coordination of care.
  • Conduct routine audits amongst other departments as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Implement systems and protocols per company standards, state, federal, and industry regulations while remaining compliant.
  • Maintain compliance practices per state, federal, industry, and company regulations and have ongoing knowledge on regulation updates and changes.
  • Become familiar with the service plan program and all of the reports it can create.
  • Order incontinent supplies as well as durable medical equipment as needed.
  • Assure home health, hospice and ancillary care providers communicate their visits and provide necessary documentation of their visit.
  • Complete MAR audits.
  • Monitor the medication room to assure organization and cleanliness.
  • Assist with tracking and recording incident reports. Assure the incident investigations are completed.
  • Work as manager of the day as directed by Executive Director.
  • Maintain a monthly budget for the Health Services department.
  • Maintain and track that all health services staff have the necessary training required for their job such as CPR, First Aid, and dementia training, if applicable.
  • Full staff management responsibilities for healthcare staff including hiring, training, performance reviews, counseling and discharge, if necessary.
  • Complete delegation training, assessments and documentation per state guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical budget in all aspects: staffing and supplies.
  • On-call for clinical support to the community and staffing to cover shifts if the need should arise.
Requirements
  • Must have appropriate nursing licensure (i.e., Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), etc.). License must be active and in good standing.
  • Proficiency in English preferred.
  • Receives and maintains CPR certification.
  • Experience in clinical nursing practice or long-term care administration preferred but not required. New grads welcome.
  • Must possess a current state-specific driver's license and appropriate driving record.
  • Must be able to easily lift and carry 50 lbs.
