Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fila. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities.
  • Operate and maintain lift equipment, including fork lifts and aerial lifts.
  • Conduct battery maintenance and perform battery changes as needed.
  • Collect and compact corrugated product, and operate the corrugated box compactor and baler.
  • Operate shredder and associated equipment, and coordinate with management to ensure compactors and trailers are changed in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and operate distribution center conveyors using the Warehouse Executive System (WES/CORS).
  • Interact with vendors and contractors to achieve departmental obligations.
  • Review and verify work orders from the lift maintenance contractor.
  • Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as needed.
  • Use equipment manuals and documentation to troubleshoot operational problems and perform required maintenance and service.
  • Assist with maintaining parts inventory and perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for entry of maintenance work orders and inventory.
  • Follow safety protocol to ensure that machines are properly guarded, procedures are followed, and PPE is utilized to minimize injuries.
  • Collaborate with managers to schedule work to be performed on equipment, with minimal downtime.
  • Interface with Production to ensure internal customer needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization.
  • Work in a shift environment where overtime may be requested.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Follow all Fila Safety Standards.
  • Assist in training personnel on equipment, operations, and procedures for which you are responsible.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role of similar responsibility.
  • Working with and changing of electric vehicle batteries.
  • Lead acid battery maintenance.
  • Operating corrugated product compactor/baler.
  • Operating bulk shredding equipment.
  • Warehouse or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Working with and basic trouble shooting of electrical controls and motor control devices.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read technical documentation.
  • Multitasking.
  • Technical skills training or certificate.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
Environmental and Work Schedule Requirements
  • Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Able to work in hot ambient temperatures.
  • Comfortable working in aerial equipment at heights up to 50 ft.
  • Willing to work weekends if required.
  • Willing to work different shifts if required.
  • Willing to work overtime if required.
  • Lift Truck/Man Lift Certification required within 30 days of hire.
